New Nintendo 3DS

^ Me too, now Nintendo NEEDS to have those outfits in their games, at least in Smash Bros. as alternate costumes. Why else would they show them? :p

I also honestly didn't think we would have to pay for the menu themes...I was seriously thinking they were free. I'm now disappointed.

^ Yeah, who created those?! They're amazing! I want them in Nintendo games now, you get the costume corresponding to your theme if you buy them or something. I wish they would do that, but they probably won't.

Okay, so apparently this new app released along with a system update in Japan 4 or 5 days ago. It's called the "Collectable Badge Center," where you can play a crane game to earn badges, which can then be placed around your home menu anywhere you like.

I really hope this comes to the west as soon as possible, it sounds amazing! I really like the customization Nintendo is adding to the 3DS menu, and I hope they add the themes and badges to Wii U soon too.

Huh that sounds like a really cool feature. I hope it comes to the rest of the world too.. Though I doubt it since most stuff is Japan only.

^ Well, the theme shop was initially announced only for Japan, but ended up coming to the west, so really I wouldn't be surprised. Nintendo has been better with localizing more of their games (and etc.) lately, and being that this is an app coming with a system update, it would make sense for it to be localized too. It just needs to be translated.

Although I can be a bit too hopeful sometimes. XD I still hope it comes though, it's a nice feature.

Huh, it looks to me like it's a way to build your own kind of theme in a way. I'm not sure if my hunch is right but yea; still it looks really neat. I'd love to play around with that feature just to see what it does tbh. xp

This is a really unique idea, and I love it. Are you sure it only works on the New 3DS Gameguy? I don't see any reason it couldn't work on the original models.

THIS IS SO GREAT. I hope it comes to North America Club Nintendo members too. Yeah, it's unlikely, but if I'm going to purchase a New 3DS, this is definitely the one I want most. Especially because it's white, the color I want.

Just so you guys know, this is a RUMOR. But supposedly, Game Stop's filter has listed New Nintendo 3DS as releasing on February 13th in North America, and will have preorders starting tomorrow. Source

I'm not quite sure I believe it fully, it's insane that the console which doesn't even have a release date or price revealed yet would be releasing in a month. But at the same time, it would fit in with Nintendo's handheld release schedule (which usually release between February-May) and would make sense. Still, I think there will be a Direct first before we get the release date...

I call this rumor being true cause I can see Nintendo pulling the same kind of crap like they did before when they said they weren't releasing a new DS when they turned around & totally released the 3DS a month after they said they weren't.

I don't think the rumor is true about the pre-orders since I don't think they will open until after the Direct airs.

I think you're thinking of the 3DS XL, Nintendo announced the original model over a year before it's release. But yeah, they've done that before.

Now that there's a Direct tomorrow, I think this could be completely true. I think we will get New 3DS info and they will announce a release date.
