Virtual Console

I just realized there was no topic specifically for virtual console.

Who actually uses the VC? I like it a lot, since I can play games I missed a lot more easily. I used it a lot with the Wii, and I have the ambassador games on 3DS which are somewhat VC games (just not officially). I'm not sure whether I'll use it much on the Wii U though.

In addition, Nintendo has announced N64 and GBA games will come to Wii U VC sometime soon. Could this mean GCN games won't be available?

I've bought Toki Tori 2 which is a Wii U exclusive VC game, as well as the FREE Rayman Legends Challenges app that released just yesterday.

I enjoy Toki Tori 2 for the puzzle & challenges. Rayman Legends Challenge is just all around good platforming awesome fun! ^^

In my view I've always found these VC, PS1Classics, blah blah blah useless due to the fact of easy emulation.

Then again, some people like to support and I can't complain. Everyone's individual choice.

Wii U virtual console games will apparently eventually become playable on a 3DS. You would pay a discount price, and be able to play the game on both your Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

When I first read about it, I thought it would be that you would be able to just transfer games from Wii U to 3DS. This is actually probably pointless for me though.

Wii U is supposed to have NES, SNES, N64 and Game Boy Advance.
I wonder if the GCN games and other SEGA system games will become available.
Still haven't got a game in the Wii U menu yet.

I'm wondering if the N64 games will be playable on 3DS. (hopefully they will be) Also, GCN is still uncomfirmed...but Nintendo said something about adding it a long time ago, so I doubt it wouldn't eventually come to Virtual Console.

I also haven't gotten one yet, but I'm thinking I should get Kirby's Adventure today since it's only 30 cents.

I actually just bought Kirby's Adventure today since I had enough change to be able to download it. XD Gotta say the game play on the Wii U gamepad is pretty sweet. :3

Just throwing a little fun fact 'ere: Kirby's Adventure was remade on GBA and titled as "Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland". For anyone who didn't know that.

Also, Meta Knight can be unlocked in the remake.

And truthfully, I didn't know about either till earlier this year. X_X

I knew about the first one, not about how Meta Knight can be unlocked in the remake though.

So you think the controls are nice on gamepad, or it's just cool to be able to play it on the gamepad? I could already play it on 3DS, so I'm pretty sure it'd be similar to that, just bigger.

Yea I like the controls I think they're pretty easy. You can't use the wand for anything though (XD) but yea the control are super easy. Also I like the ease of being able to play Kirby on the gamepad with out having to turn the tv on if i don't want to as well. xD

Yeah. :3 Is there anything that was updated from it's original version? I wouldn't assume so since that would ruin the point, but I want to see if there would even be a point in using the Wii U instead of the 3DS. And if that rumor is true, I could just switch it to the Wii U whenever.

I simply adore the Virtual Console service.

I have dozens of N64, SNES, and NES games on my Wii system. I have only two game boy games on my 3DS though.

I can name a few of my VC games like Super Mario 64, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, many more.

I just thought of something. If they did this, wouldn't it be better for you to only have to pay for the game once, instead of having to pay more than twice for the game? I mean, you can already play both games if you have a 3DS and Wii U, and use both. But if they did this, the only reason it would actually be useful is for them to simply make you have to pay less, since it's the same game.

^They should do that.
Especially for Game Boy Advance NES Games.
