    Yep, that would be a good motive.

    I also just now realized this, but all (well, most) of the Wii U VC games are just games they already had on Wii...is there anyway to transfer them from the Wii menu to Wii U menu or something? If not, it's something they should think about doing really.

    Nope.
    But I know it's like $5 off if you have it on the Wii Menu.

    What does everyone think about having DS games on the Wii U virtual console? I know they don't even have GBA games yet, but DS would work perfectly, the gamepad would be the bottom DS touch screen, and the TV would be the top screen. Or they could just have both screens on the gamepad and on the TV, but that wouldn't be taking advantage of the Wii U very well.

    Maybe not soon, but I'd like to see DS games on Wii U VC.

    For Wii U I think it'd be fine, but at the same time there's cutscenes in games that use both screens as if they were right on top of each other, so that tiny bit of immersion that no one cares about wouldn't be in play.

    That would actually be good.
    Considering the GanePad is just ove the size of a DS.

    @Cubone
    That's true, they'd probably have to change a few things to make those work, or even just make the gameplay work as smoothly as on a DS, but I still think the Wii U would work well for the games available on DS.

    @Luma
    Just over? It's like HUGE compared to the DS. XD

    Well, yeah, like double the size.
    I wonder what game like Mario Kart DS would be like on the GamePad.

    It would have the map on the gamepad and the top screen on the TV, like I said, if they're doing it in the way I mentioned. Razz

    Probably similar to what Mario Kart 8 will be like actually...Can anyone think of a DS game that wouldn't work with the Wii U? I can't think of anything.

    Sounds interesting, I believe Nintendo DS games would work fine with the Wii U Virtual Console. The Wii U's Gamepad has all the necessary buttons (Aside from the shoulder buttons I think, Don't really have one) so there shouldn't be much of a problem.

    Yeah, I can see it happening in a few years or so.

    Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story would be a problem with it's Giant Bowser battles because you rotate the system a different angle. Unless you are willing to put the television on it's side Razz.

    Well you won't have to place the tv on it's side if your controlling the game with the Wii U gamepad & are just playing it from there any way. You can turn the Wii U gamepad any which way like with the DS. If your playing any DS game that needs to be moved in any which way it'd work best controlling it from the gamepad.

    ^ Yeah that's what I was about to say, it might be a bit difficult to do that with the games that tilt the DS to it's side just due to the fact that you may not be able to see the TV as well. But it'd work.

    That would be annoying for games like Brain Age though, which as far as I know, you HAVE to have it tilted to it's side in order to play the entire game.

    ^That'd be an easy one just have the gamepad be tilted while what you see on the tv isn't is all. ;3

    I thought I already said that, you could just hold it next to the TV tilted, and the TV will automatically "tilt" what's on the screen. It's just that I think it'd be uncomfortable to have to do that, maybe not. Razz

    Going to revive this and ask, does anyone thinks the GameCube games will come to VC?
    I mean everything but the GCN has gotten here.
    I bought an actual physical DS game back in November, yet now they're VC games...
