Wow, that's hard to believe.

@Zero When they dol have a Nintendo Direct, there's got to be a new character revealed.

At the very least! I'm half expecting new features AND a new character to be revealed since it has been more than 6 months since the initial announcement. But I doubt it'll happen. Either way, I'm sure there will be something about it just because they always show something in Wii U Directs.

And yeah it is hard to believe, Sakurai doesn't seem to think so though. XD

We might have to wait a few more weeks or maybe at E3 they will show 3 newcomers. If that rumor is true they will be Little Mac, Pac- Man and Mii.

I'm glad there fixing the edge thing since it was kind of broken in Brawl.

Was it? I never noticed to be honest, but I guess it's a good thing that it's being fixed now. And it seems like they're planning to show new footage soon since Sakurai hasn't shown anything interesting in the pic of the day for a week and a half now.

Palutena will likely be in the game, but I don't think that screenshot is real.

Resized the other photo, and I don't think that pose Mario is making in the screenshot you posted has ever been shown before Luma. So it might not be real because of that, but it could just be a pose not shown previously. I wonder why it wouldn't be shown in a Kid Icarus stage though...it looks like something from Mario.

It looks like Sakurai knows about the Palutena link and we can see that Viridi is a stage hazard like Sakurai hinted at back in July.

The Palutena link looks like it could be real but, until Nintendo shows her in the game think of the pics as fakes.

However many sites have want over the details of her very closely.

It's a starman and Sakurai does like adding extra details to characters such as the stars on Rosalina's dress. I still think that Palutena will be in the game though if the pics turn out to be fake.

Interesting how people analyze that.

Yeah, I know she didn't have a Star Man on it before in Kid Icarus: Uprising. (and I never played the first two games but I'm pretty sure she didn't have any of those at all in those games) But since we never saw her fighting in the screens, she could actually be an assist trophy like in Brawl. Still even if those screens are fake she's probably in the game regardless like Gameguy said, but they look 100% real to me.

Anyway, the pic of the day doesn't really show anything new again. Another hint that there will be a Nintendo Direct soon with a new trailer for the game, or that he'll be showing off a new character soon. (probably the official Palutena announcement!)

I don't really see the point of taking out the other Link when someone is using Toon Link since there different Links. Also Alfonzo has a outline so it looks like even non playable characters will have outlines on the 3DS.

But the Shy Guys on the Rainbow Road stage didn't have outlines...that's a bit strange. Unless they didn't add them until later on, and we haven't seen the outlines yet.

Anyway, I actually like how Alfonzo is in charge of the train when you play with Toon Link. It's a nice touch, plus I like Alfonzo anyway. What I want to see in this stage is the train having the parts added on to it like the cannon and drill that are actually in Spirit Tracks.

Do you mean like the train changes pieces while you fight on it, or everytime you play it has different pieces placed on it? Because either way would be really interesting to see honestly.

Personally I'd like to have them switch out during battle, but either way would still be interesting like you said.

Oh and it also doesn't appear as though Alfonzo has an outline like the other characters, I think that's just how he looks in Spirit Tracks. Because his whole body doesn't have an outline and it's kind of jagged.

It sounds like you can stop the items even if there in use with the Gravitational Pull.

Also, the Ice  Climbers anniversary is this Thursday so they might be shown then.
