Yeah I definitely wasn't expecting Little Mac to be shown now! But I'm glad he's in the game regardless. He's a cool new character. We didn't get to see many of his moves though.

That trailer also showed some kind of KO Meter. I wonder what that is?

Here's the real pic of the day.

Sakurai wrote:Pic of the day. From Punch-out!!, our boxing challenger Little Mac joins the battle!! To get a glimpse of his fearsome punches, check out the newest video or visit the official web site. His biggest feature is his Power Meter. When this gets charged up, his standard special move changes! It turns into a one-hit-K.O. uppercut.

In pic 5 we see the gravity effect and the Punch Out ring is also in Smash 3DS. Little Mac is also OP but, he looks easy to KO and his recovery move is not that great from what Doc said in the trailer.

Oh Little Mac looks REALLY overpowered, I wonder if there's a way to mess up his KO attack. There has to be, either that or his KO meter only powers up really slowly. It's a cool move I just don't want Little Mac to be the Meta Knight of this game.

I think his K.O meter attack is similar to Wario's down B from Brawl. Maybe Little Mac will be the Ike of Smash Bros. 4?

Where Wario's move was larger depending on how long it is since he last used it? It looks like you have to charge up Little Mac's KO meter manually while standing there, so it's a bit different, but it is similar I guess. If it takes awhile to charge up, I'd assume you can move out of the way before he hits you right? It doesn't seem too hard to dodge if that's the case.

Remember when Sakurai said there was no fighting characters. XD
Interesting, at first I thought they were unveiling a new Punch-Out game.

Well, really I think he meant characters from games in the fighting genre, yes Little Mac is a fighter, but he's from a boxing game which is much different than the others. I just think he wants to think of creative movesets for characters, if he just used characters from other fighting games, he could just port over their moveset and it wouldn't be as interesting that way. But maybe not, could just be for no reason at all. Razz XD

Little Mac is not really a fighting character though and he could also count as a retro character since Punch Out was more known in the older days. Here's the Little Mac Discussion video from GameXplain.

So pretty much just all of our thoughts on Little Mac? XD But I totally would agree with everything they said in that video.

Also I do wonder, will Dixie Kong or Diddy Kong even be playable? I know Diddy was in Brawl, but Sakurai did say they'll be removing some characters from that game, so I have a feeling that's why Little Mac was shown yesterday instead.

Here's the pic of the day.

Sakurai wrote:Pic of the day. Little Mac can deliver some solid punches while fighting on the ground. ...However, he's not the strongest fighter while airborne. Try keeping his feet on the ground and avoid being blasted into the air when you use him in battles.

Nothing that new but, he does say that Mac is not that good in the air. Maybe Diddy will be shown on Friday though.

It's sad but at the moment I'm not too excited for the new Smash Brothers, they've not introduced anything really that new to me... and I still hold brawl close to my heart, so I guess it's not like I'm deprived of Smash Brothers ether...

^ I still get hyped up for this with the new trailers and screenshots, but I think the reason I'm personally less excited than I normally would be for this is because I didn't really like Brawl. It's not that it was bad...I just had a lot more fun with Melee.

Oh and I guess Sakurai is going back to 2 pics of the day each day? He used to do that when he first started them if I remember correctly. And now he's doing it more often once again. And we all knew Little Mac wasn't a good character in the air, he never shows anything new in the first few pics after a character is shown.

The trailers are way more common then there were in the Brawl days and I don't think they will talk about game modes until the release gets closer. I also might be one of the few who liked Brawl more then Melee and I think Sakurai is just getting the Mac pictures out of the way for now.

Here's the pic of the day.

It seems like the bottle might be a replacement for the Maxim Tomato since it also healed 100% damage.

I must admit, I got a little excited when there was a new trailer... but not half as excited as I was when I saw the first. (which slowly turned into a meh over time)

Idk, it literally is just the cast for me. I've said this a few times over the internet now but if you look at how much new content that introduced when Brawl and Melee was announced, like characters, elements, stages, and even having the SmashDojo website for Brawl which had those nice little descriptions of screen shots and all that...

...that was amazingly exiting, and I even feel the excitement when you watch Melee's announcement! Overall I just think they're ether A.) Keeping the REAL exciting stuff behind for some reason or  B.) simply didn't add much content to this one to get someone like me hyped up.
