Tecmo Koei is working on a Zelda game for Wii U. It combines Warriors series with the world of Zelda. Due out in 2014.

This is not the Wii U Zelda game that's in the works from what Iwata said.

This game looks good and could it mean that the Wii U Zelda won't be out until 2015.

This looks okay, but I was hoping for the legit Zelda game. I guess this is just to play for in the mean time while we're waiting for the real Zelda game?

Has an interesting flare to it, it may be enjoyable, hopefully the controls are well manageable though for all that action packed slicing...power.

I'm interested; it may not be the "next" Zelda game but I know I'll play it. xp

So now we have another Zelda spin-off...also, there will be 3 Zelda games on Wii U once the actual Zelda releases. Wow...most we've seen on one console, even if one's a remake.

    That's something interesting they're doing.
    I'll look into this.

Somehow I forgot about the Wii having 3 Zelda games when I posted my last post, so nevermind lol.

    @Luma
It is indeed interesting...but looks repetitive which is something I don't generally like. I'll look at reviews when it releases though.

Never played Dynasty Warriors but have played Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave which is the same concept as this(as it WAS a Dynasty Warriors inspired game). Chaos Legion is similar too in this sense.

Looks fun. And yes, Raz. These sorta games are EXTREMELY repetitive.

Something funny I noticed. Spin-off games which include Link tend to be more fun than the games he actually stars in for me. >_> Soul Calibur II(GC) is one example. Speaking of which, Soul Calibur Legends for Wii IS THE SAME DYNASTY WARRIORS concept AGAIN. But this time we have Lloyd Irving. <3

I wouldn't agree at all, I find the main Zelda series much more enjoyable. Not that the others are bad, the main series games are just too amazing in my opinion.

And also I've never played Dynasty Warriors either, I always saw them as being boring and very repetitive. Which can be very boring.

I don't think you'd like this game then, Raz. Just because there's a character you like slapped onto a game doesn't mean it'll be good.

For me? I just find the thought of destroying a bunch of things in front of me whilst playing my own music very satisfying. If I ever had the chance, I'd play Hyrule Warriors.

This looks like a hacked version of another game. I don't like it.

I know, I probably wouldn't enjoy it very much. But if it's cheap then I may still buy it. Razz

Well; at the moment what was shown for the Nintendo Direct was just a mock up of what the gameplay might look like. I for one am going to give it a chance; I'm interested in what the final product is going to be.

Though to be honest; I wouldn't be lying if this announcement didn't get me thinking of what if Nintendo brought together the Fire Emblem series with the Zelda-verse. OMG; imagine Marth (or insert Fire Emblem character of your choice here) working together with Link & having Link being a Paladin on the back of Epona? Now that would be epic. Very Happy

Yeah, that would be cool. Nintendo seems to be doing a lot of crossovers lately...obviousky Smash Bros, Fire Emblem X SMT, and now this.
