The Nintendo 3DS family has officially surpassed 60 million units sold worldwide!
This is fantastic news! It seems like it's selling even better than a lot of people thought, most tracking sites seem to have it way undertracked. (specifically VGChartz which has it at like 57 million, crazy amount lower) The 3DS is still doing really well even after over 5 years despite Wii U's failures so that's always a good thing.

Interesting month, as the 3DS has, after being beaten out by PS4 for a very long time, been the top selling console during the month of July for NPD! This is most likely attributed to Pokemon GO, which increased sales of Pokemon games and 3DS hardware.
This is pretty awesome, it's nice to see 3DS back on top for the US after such a long time with PS4 being #1, it was getting kind of boring.

Europe is getting three new colors of the New Nintendo 3DS XL! These include a vibrant orange, white, and hot pink. (I'm not sure what the official names are but that's how they look to me)
It's awesome to see Nintendo is still releasing more colors and bundles for the New 3DS and even 2DS so late into it's lifespan. And these colors actually look really great, even the orange and I'm not a huge fan of orange.

^ I will say they look very children's toy-esque. But I do think the colors pop so I like them myself. Still I'll stick with my black launch day 3DS anyway.

Very interesting that the 3DS is topping sales, I hope it's able to maintain that.
The hot pink one is cute. I'd might get that it I wanted a New 3DS, that is if the Zelda ones didn't exist. I'd like to get one one of the Zelda ones for maximum enjoyment out of Majora's Mask 3D.

It's a galaxy design. Honestly I'm surprised they didn't tie it into Metroid Prime: Federation Force but it looks cool regardless.
