Re: Nintendo 3DS
It kind of looks like it was going to be a 3DS for MPFF until the negative feedback came in. As for the 3DS it looks like a wallpaper color.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
5 new Streetpass games are available toady. You can choose to download Slot Car Rivals or Market Crashers for free.
Having 100 Miis at once is useful when you go to a big event and Slot Car Rivals looks a little more fun so I will likely pick that as my free game.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Nice! I'm probably going to download one and play it for a bit, but obviously it's not really a big deal. These seem like kind of a time waster at this point, but it's cool that they're still adding new games, there's a pretty big variety now.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I went with the Slot Car Racers as my free game & bought the other ones that were announced. There was a bundle deal for all of them so I just bundled them all together & got Market Crashers, Feed Mii, Mii Trek, & Ninja Launcher for $8.99 which I thought wasn't a bad deal. I still don't have the Zombi or Fishing mii plaza games since they looked kind of boring impo.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I chose Market Crashers as my free game. As soon as I saw master trader Bennet Worthington I knew I had to get it. I find the stock market interesting and the game is quite fun for a streetpass game. I've had it since yesterday and I've got over 5,000,000 G now, pretty decent. Thanks to the 20 play coins I've spent so far. It's one of my favorites next to Find Mii II.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
The 3DS pulled in some good numbers in August.
- sales of 2DS were up 500 per cent year-on-year
- 3DS hardware sales were up 83 percent
- physical and digital first party 3DS software sales climbed 57 percent
- Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire re-enteried the software charts
Source
I guess those Nintendo Selects where a factor and Pokemon Go is still helping the main games sell.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
^ Always good to see 3DS doing well!
So my 3DS stopped working, it wouldn't turn on or hold a charge for longer than a few seconds. So I removed the back to take a look at the battery, and it looks like it has expanded. I'm gonna guess it has something to do with the heat. Being that it's a lithium battery I'm getting rid of it properly soon, I don't want it exploding on me lol. But yeah if your 3DS charge starts going away I would check to make sure nothing like that has happened to the battery because it could burn through your fingers or damage something. (specifically your 3DS)
Anyway I'm planning to get a new battery soon because they're pretty cheap, but I would LOVE to have a New 3DS XL. If I had money I'd be going for that right away.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire re-entering the software charts, that's impressive.
So your battery is no more? Good thing they're not super expensive. I never really had to replace the battery in any of my DS family systems yet. Though I'm sure that will happen eventually with one of my 3DS systems. I've had my XL for almost 3 years now and my old one for more than that. I've been considering upgrading to a New 3DS XL, I would've loved the Majora's Mask one, too bad about how frustratingly limited it was. I would've really liked to have that extra circle pad.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
The New 2DS XL will be released on July 28th for $150.
It looks much better then the regular 2DS and it might be a good option for those who where looking at a New 3DS and don't care about the 3D.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Design-wise this is miles above the original 2DS. I do have to say I really enjoy using 3D, but if I want to upgrade this is probably the model I'll buy. It's much cheaper, includes all the same features outside of 3D, and looks pretty sleek too.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Outside of the New 2DS XL, Reggie also mentioned this:
It seems like 3DS is definitely still a full blown platform for Nintendo for the near future, at least up through 2018 and possibly even throughout that year. I definitely expected it to stay relevant this year but that's a surprise to me. Of course, I'm very happy about it regardless.
We will certainly be announcing new titles for the 3DS platform, and we’ll do that continuously. Some things that will be announced at E3. There will be some that we announce after E3. For us, E3 is an important event but it’s not the one defining moment. Obviously with Nintendo Direct, we’ve created means to speak directly to our consumer base. We want to provide news and information when we believe it’s most relevant.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I'm expecting to see the leaked Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga DX, Pokemon Stars for both the 3DS and Switch and maybe another 2D Zelda at E3.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Tbh I don't like the color scheme of the 2DS XL & ontop of that it looks like it's a squished 3DS. D:
