Glad the leaker got fired too - ugh, betraying the company you work for just for something like this is horrible...

Of course, all we Smash fans have been dying for news - but this leak just came in with a blast.

I'm really curious as to what today's PoTD is. Dang, Sakurai must be furious. :0

Wager wisely by checking out the player names, rules, win rates, odds, fighters, and stage!! Being able to cheer someone on is what really makes spectating matches fun. This time, 1st and 2nd place will get prizes in four-player matches, and spectators can bet the gold they win on Bonus Chances.

That cool how the top 2 players win gold online and I always liked how you can't watch other matches in Brawl so I'm glad that's back.

Well of course Spectator Mode is in the 3DS version Sakurai, it was leaked, remember? Razz I know he must be upset about it, but now that everything's been leaked, he shouldn't just act like none of that ever happened...

Either way, I'm probably not going to use that mode much if ever, seems kind of boring unless it's like MK8's spectator mode, where it happens while you're waiting to play online.

It's gotta be hard on Sakurai, but then again - leaks are to be expected at this point of time. MK8's roster was leaked long before the game was released too and Pokemon XY was also leaked as well - so this doesn't surprise me really.

The lack of a new character for the past month really stirred the fanbase up; however. The Smash community has always been an anxious one...ack.

I'm gonna bet Sakurai is gonna continue with the PoTD as he originally intended to regardless of the leaks. Spectator Mode is pretty welcoming in my opinion. Always fun betting against friends. Smile

The challenges in the 3DS version are a little on the easy side, but the Wii U version challenges might be a bit trickier.

I'm glad the challenges are back since I spent many hours trying to get them all in Brawl and I'm really glad that there is not any music, stages or trophies hidden this time. With that said there should have been at least 50 or so.

I know those were in Brawl, but they changed the appearance of them to be just like Kid Icarus: Uprising, they really are inspired by that game for this, aren't they? That's cool though, I always enjoyed getting those.

Sakurai wrote:Pic of the day. Customize your characters in the Custom section. It sounded better to customize "characters" instead of "fighters," so that's what we went with. There are various ways to customize, but make sure you remember to set up the powers you're bringing with you before playing a round of Smash Run.

It's nice to see more of the custom menu. I hope there's a big update to close the week though.

^ I also do, but it's not like it'll be something surprising, we pretty much already know the entire roster now. Razz I guess that's kind of cool. Not sure what he means by the difference between customizing characters and fighters though.

I wander if the media will be able to play as the new characters from E3 and maybe a newcomer will be shown behind closed doors again like Pac-Man was at E3.

Also could this be the final roster.

That's kind of cool, hopefully they just release everything to the public, since we pretty much know everything about the game due to the leak.

Is Ridley truly & honest to God in...?

^ Well, I mean, I definitely expected Ridley to be in the game. Fans haven't been able to stop talking about it for years...actually, probably ever since Melee released due to that intro. Razz It only makes sense. I think Ridley is in and that screenshot is real. It might as well be, the models look just like the rest from that leak. I'm more surprised about Wolf being back and Dixie Kong and Chorus Men being playable, really. And of course Mewtwo being back is kind of weird. I feel like Sakurai should've shown Ridley and Mewtwo by now, since everyone has been wanting them.

    Shulk Foresees a Fight!

Sakurai wrote:Pic of the day. From Xenoblade Chronicles, Shulk joins the battle!! He's not the type of character that would usually appear in the Smash Bros. series, but we worked really hard to make it happen. We're very happy with how he turned out. This stage is Gaur Plain. Shulk's sword, the Monado, slashes enemies with a beam when activated, so it can strike from long range. What really makes this weapon unique is that when the Monado Arts are activated, it can change Shulk's features and abilities! Emerge victorious in battle by changing your abilities strategically!! [List of Monado Arts] 翔 (Jump): higher jumps, lower defense. 疾 (Speed): faster movement, weaker attacks. 盾(Shield): higher defense, slower movement. 斬(Buster): stronger attacks, weaker launch ability. 撃(Smash): Stronger launch ability, weaker attacks, lower defense against launching.
