Fire Emblem Fates

I definitely plan to get the Special Edition when I get the game if I have the money. It seems more worth the price, and I'd probably want all 3 paths anyway.

This just in; GameStop canceling FE: Fates special edition pre-orders.

Did you pre-order the Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition at GameStop after November 18? If so, chances are that your order has been cancelled. An official notice distributed internally indicates that reservations were still possible after this date, but only due to a glitch. Consumers should be receiving a phone call about the cancellation of their order.

For the most part, pre-orders for the Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition have been sold out for awhile now at all retailers. GameStop’s website has been out of stock, though it was still possible for gamers to reserve a copy in store. sauce

In a way I'm glad I'm not interested in getting either title cause this would have SUCKED for me because it would've been cheaper to get the special edition over all three games at once.

Well that's really disappoint for those who actually did preorder it. Personally I didn't and will likely just end up getting them separately if the Special Edition isn't available. I mostly want to play Birthright anyway.

It's one of the reasons why I hate GameStop. As for myself I'm waiting for the bundle to go back up on Best Buy so that I can save a little cash.

New DLC/bundle info:

- new maps DLC for the game will be released weekly

- Fire Emblem Fates N3DS XL announced for release on Feb 19th

I figured this would be the case, as the same thing happened with Awakening DLC. Pretty cool! Although I never did play Awakening's DLC. This game just has so much content, it's insane.

The DLC bundle is nice since every pack goes foe about $3 or $4 and Nintendo could have at least put a download code in the bundle.

The petting mini-game has been removed.

I never enjoyed the idea of the mode that much anyway and it's kind of sad how a few people won't buy the game now.

Honestly I feel like removing it as a form of censoring is pointless. It's more effort to remove it anyway, and I'm sure it wouldn't increase the rating. They could've at least only removed portions of it.

But at the same time it looked hella creepy so I feel like it shouldn't have been in the game to begin with.

They'll save money on dubbing since I'm pretty sure those scenes were fully voiced. This way they won't have to dub them.

As well, I'm not upset it's not in there, but I am a little upset it was added in this game and removed in the same game. Just seems like it's more of a big deal because they removed it than if they had just kept it in.

So according to a Nintendo rep, whether or not the petting minigame has been removed has "not been announced." So although it seems likely that it has been considering it's Nintendo, and also considering some critics and media people have the game, it hasn't technically been confirmed yet.
