    Tbh, I kind of thought the petting mini game was a bit awkward. I couldn't imagine 'petting' on anyone other then my sweetie. In a way I kind of hope the whole dating sim is removed too, but I kinda doubt it. =_=;

    Okay nevermind it's now been confirmed to be removed. XD And yeah @"Queen Pikachu" it did look awkward and people that played the Japanese version said the same thing. But Japan is all about that kind of stuff so I feel like they were just trying to sell it to that market. They don't really need to do that to sell the series in the west. (and I'm glad because it looked creepy lol)

    So who is planning to get Fire Emblem Fates at or near launch?

    Personally I'm definitely buying Birthright as soon as I can, and probably Conquest at some point in the future if I feel like I need more. Birthright alone has the same amount of content as Awakening though so I'll probably be content with just that, but with the second version only being $20 more after the first purchase, I might just have to buy it at some point. Regardless I'm definitely getting at least one version and soon.

    I hope i'm able to get the special edition on Friday. If not I might just hold out for a bit since I would like everything on a single cart.

    It seems like we now know the full voice cast.

    Well, if I still liked the series I would.. But since I feel that the series sold out to please every one else, I have no plans to get either title. Sad really, I remember once upon a time when Fire Emblem used to be my favorite of the Nintendo franchises. :/

    Reviews are in for both versions, and they're all really great. Most thought both versions were equally great, there were a few critics that didn't like the difficulty difference however, GameSpot gave Conquest a lower score due to it being more difficult than Birthright. (while Destructoid did the opposite for seemingly the same reason)

    I feel like in a game like this the difficulty difference could make an impact for each version, but I feel like it's not a big reason for disliking a game in most cases...either way I'm glad to see so many amazing reviews for these games, they're definitely some of the highest in the series.

    Gamespot strikes again and how is it hard when you can pick how difficult you want the game to be? It's nice to see some great reviews after all the negative things that have happened in translation.

    Doesn't Conquest have phoenix mode and casual mode like Birthright does? Along with the difficulty levels I don't why Conquest should be marked down for its difficulty. If it lacks phoenix mode and casual mode then that's a little more understandable, I thought being the more difficult version was one of the things it offered over Birthright though. Challenge is good.

    ^ It does! That's exactly why it makes no sense. It's fine to say a game's experience is slightly less enjoyable due to certain difficulties, but when you purposely choose higher difficulty levels when the game gives you options because you think you're so good at games, you can't expect it to be easy and mark it down for difficulty.

    Literally every GameSpot review for Nintendo games seems to be completely based on difficulty which makes no sense to me. I can see why they rated Birthright higher because of that.

    I have to wait until next weekend but I'm getting both games then! Awakening really got me in to the series and I can't wait to play these ones! I like the character Azura.
