It's a ton of text if you think about it though since there's 3 different stories and all the DLC chapters as while. I find it a twist though how Aqua can fight on any side like the player character.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates
From the latest Famitsue leak, some more information was revealed. Some things are:
- The weapon triangle has been revised. Now it's "Sword and Magic > Axe and Bow > Lance and Hidden Weapon > Sword and Magic".
- Hidden Weapons include weapons such as knives and shurikens. They can be used by Ninjas, Maids and Butlers.
- Weapons are different compared to earlier games. For example, some standard sword:
Bronze Sword: Cannot critical, but boosts Critical Evade by 10
Iron Sword: Nothing special
Steel Sword: Avoid -5, double attack threshold -3
Silver Sword: Critical Evade -5; after using, Strength and Skill -2 until next turn
Brave Sword: Allows 2 consecutive attacks, Defence and Resistance -4
- Healing Staves still have limited uses
- Some characters and classes have been confirmed:
Felicia: Maid
Joker: Butler
Gunter: Great Knight
Suzukaze: Ninja
Saizou: Ninja
Kagerou: Ninja
- Felicia, Joker, Gunter and Suzukaze are allies during both routes, while Saizou and Kagerou are Hoshidan allies only.
Source and more information: http://serenesforest.net/2015/05/19/fire-emblem-21st-may-famitsu-leak-weapon-triangle-revamped/
This game cannot be released soon enough in the west. Though I'm not sure about what I think about Maids and Butlers.
Also I'm loving the new gameplay changes. About time they did something.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates
It's nice how they changed up the weapon triangle since it was getting stale after 13 games. The Maid and Butler classes should also mix things up.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates
Ooh interesting. Hopefully I'll be able to memorize that new triangle when I play the game then. The butler and maid classes seem interesting, but I'm not sure exactly what they'd be like.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates
If I remember correctly, the weapons triangle didn't even exist until Genealogy of the Holy Warx the fourth game. Though in later games, it has usually been to the player's advantage.Gameguy1996 wrote:It's nice how they changed up the weapon triangle since it was getting stale after 13 games.
The actual Famitsu issue mostly confirmed what was leaked and gave a few details on the leak and some new characters. Source and more at: http://serenesforest.net/2015/05/20/fire-emblem-famitsu-21st-may-details/
I'm cool with everything revealed in this leak, most of it sounds pretty interesting. Though I'm not happy that Dark Mages don't seem like they look that much better than in Awakening.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates
Here's some new screenshots!
3DS screenshots never look anywhere near as good as the game itself, but it looks decent enough. They're basically just showing off things we already saw in the trailers, but it's cool to see more.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates
Fire Emblem If features a My Castle mode, where you can build your own town. It also includes Amiibo support! Tap in one of the Fire Emblem Amiibo to have that character pop into the game.
I wasn't expecting the My Castle feature, it seems interesting. I still wish this game was releasing this year here, oh well.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates
The mode sounds cool.
Here's a new trailer.
I won't watch it since there are likely spoilers this time around.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates
^ Nah not really, it just shows off that mode really. It's strange to see the Fire Emblem sprites moving around freely...and it doesn't look particularly good graphically.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates
It kind of reminds me of how the RPG maker works a little bit in how you edit in the shops; houses & that. It should be fun to make your own town when ever the game releases outside of JP.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates
So do you guys expect to see Fire Emblem If at E3? I'm hoping it is so we can at least get a somewhat better idea of what the localized version will be like.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates
I think it will show during the Treehouse stream and that they will be playing the Japanese version since the translation is not that fair along yet.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates
Probably; but I personally think it'll just be glossed over if it is shown during Nintendo's E3 Direct though.
